Bruhn Update

Nathan did his first duathlon last weekend at Lake Elmo Park reserve. He did very well for his first race, and exceeded his expectations. He finished 69th out of about 150 people. He looks forward to doing many more. Here is a picture of him on the home stretch.

Bruhn Update

Nathan and Lisa just returned this week from Peru. We had a fabulous time, and were able to visit one of the seven wonders of the world(Machu Picchu) we were also able to visit the highest navigable lake in the world(Lake Titicaca). Also, Lisa was able to visit her great friend Nora in Cajamarca which is in the northern Andes Mtns. Here are some great pics of our adventure. Oh and Nathan's highlight of the trip was being able to touch a llama.

Mom Update

Good News!! Today Lisa's Mom(LuAnn) went into surgery at 9 ish to do the hysterectomy again. The surgeon came out and spoke to Cari and Lisa and said that there was no sign of the tumor left and as of now everything looks good. He said that she responded very well to the treatment. Needless to say, LuAnn is in great spirits and happy! Wow what a relief, God is soooo great. She is recovering at United and will be there until at least Thursday if not Friday. Thanks to everyone for the prayers, and we continue to covet your prayers.

Bruhn Update

We went into the BWCA(Boundary Waters Canoe Area) this past weekend with our great friends Jared and Kelly. We didn't see any major wildlife, but we did see some loons of course. It was a grand time with plenty of mosquitos to keep us company. Here are some photos of it, ahhhh it is just so beautiful, and so close to home!!

Mom Update

Lisa's Mom(LuAnn) went back to work today. She completed her last radiation appointment last Monday and is planning to go back to work for a month before her surgery that is scheduled for August 25th. She said her first day back was overwhelming with a lot of customers and co-workers wanting to talk to her, but overall she felt pretty good and strong enough to get through the day.

Our summer landscaping project

This was our summer project that kept our minds and body busy. Mostly Lisa's design and mostly Nathan's implementation.
