Mom Update
Lisa's Mom(LuAnn) went back to work today. She completed her last radiation appointment last Monday and is planning to go back to work for a month before her surgery that is scheduled for August 25th. She said her first day back was overwhelming with a lot of customers and co-workers wanting to talk to her, but overall she felt pretty good and strong enough to get through the day.

Bruhn Update
Like we said before, we would like to use this site as a way of communicating the latest and greatest news going on in our life. The beauty of it is, instead of sending out emails to do it, it will be all located here, and that way if people really aren't interested they don't have to check it. :) This entry will probably be a little longer since it is our first of course. So what is new in our life...Lisa is still working for Target Corporation in downtown Minneapolis as an Oracle DBA(Database Administrator) it will be 3 years on August 1st. Wow has time gone fast. Nathan decided last fall to hang up owning his own business to join the Carpenters Union. He started working for Flannery Construction last fall. He really enjoys working for someone else and is learning a lot about Commercial Construction. He also plans to go back to school this fall at Northwestern College for Business Management. So other than working, we have managed to take a couple of trips in the last year with California last fall and Costa Rica in February. We are also planning to go to Peru and climb Machu Picchu at the end of August. Lisa will be also visiting a friend that is living in the Andes there. Well besides all this normal day to day stuff and traveling we have recently (April 21) found out that Lisa's Mom(LuAnn) was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer with a large tumor in her cervix, which is another great reason why we wanted to start this blog. So people can check for updates on her situation as well. Orginally when she was first diagnosed, they said she was in stage 1a clinically, but needed to do the surgery to really see where she was at. At surgery they noticed it was in one of her lymph nodes and at that point was given a stage 3b. Since then she has done 6 chemo sessions, and about 30 external radiation sessions. They were supposed to do 2 internal radiation sessions, but they were unable to complete the surgery successfully, so now they have decided to do the full hysterectomy again. We are really praying that it goes well!!! Please Pray for that! This time in our lives has been very difficult, but through it we have seen a lot of amazing blessings come out of it. Well that is the lastest and not so greatest be posted for more to come.....Hope this finds everyone doing well!!

Why did we start a blog?
Nathan and I thought it would be a cool way to keep people posted on the comings and goings of the Bruhn's.
